SAQA’s Benefit Auction

SAQA’s signature fundraising event starts Sept 15!

This is your chance to own beautiful, unique art quilts by some of the world’s finest artists. Plus, your purchases help increase the recognition for art quilts and the artists who make them while supporting SAQA’s exhibitions, publications, and education outreach.

Make Mine Lime Green!  - curated by Martha Sielman. Lime green seems to be showing up all over, including in SAQA's Benefit Auction.

“Lily” Quilt Class in Starkville

Yesterday I took my accordion style “design wall” to Starkville to teach a “Lily” workshop for the Golden Triangle Quilters.

Most of the ladies finished fusing their tops and a lot of them got a good start on the quilting.

It was so interesting to see the different variations that each person used to make their quilt unique.

Harvesting Corn, Lily, and Bubbled Double Nine Patch

Life … on the farm

Quinten gets the combine ready for the day.

Cutting corn and unloading it into a grain cart.

Bronson and Gabriel hauled the corn away as fast as Quinten could cut it.

Ashton loved riding with Gabriel for a while.

Uh-oh! Problems in the wiring harness.

The ground is gradually turning red from the bees wings of the corn kernels.

After a windy day there was actually a drift of bees wings on the east side of the shop.

Paul gave the neighbors a ride after a hard day’s work.

… as a Quilter

Today I fixed up my mobile design walls in preparation for Saturday’s “Lily” Workshop in Starkville.
